About Me
Like you, I am unique. I was born in Indonesia, the third of seven children to missionary parents. Later, we moved to Trinidad, and I attended a boarding school in Venezuela.
As a freshman in high school, the school newspaper asked me to write a story series. I submitted the next episode every month and discovered something: I loved writing fiction.

Unfortunately, I moved from that small missionary school to a large public school in a Chicago suburb. Too new and fearful, I did not tell anyone about my love of writing. From that time until recently, fiction rarely entered my writing world. I wrote articles, Bible studies, and children's curriculum.

The first time I began to work on my fiction book, I sat in front of the computer for six hours. When I realized how much time had passed, I marveled at how refreshed I felt. Then I knew. No matter how long it took, I needed to write about Cassie and her struggles as a high school senior.

These days I divide my time between writing about Cassie and working (and writing) for International Partnership Ministries as a Children's Ministries Consultant. My husband and I travel to various parts of the world to train leaders for local churches.
